Scouts from our troop were the first in the council to earn this new badge
June 28-July 4, 2009 - Summer Camp, Blue Ridge Mtn Scout Reservation, Virginia
17 Scouts and 4 adults. Our Campsite was WICO at Camp Powhatan. 8 scouts participated in New River Adventure; 3 in Brownsea Island and 6 at basecamp.
June 20, 2009 - Fishing Derby
6 scouts didn't let a little rain keep them away. Cody was the fish leader with the most caught (20) and the biggest caught (13 inches)!
June 6, 2009 - Darren O. Eagle Ceremony
May 29-30, 2009 - Appalachian Trail Hike, Birch Run Shelter
7 Scouts and 3 adults made the trek to Birch Run shelter where they set up tarp shelters and cooked their dinner and breakfast the next day.
April 24-26, 2009 - Stream cleanup and campout, Middle Spring
A whole lotta trash was collected by the 16 scouts and 6 adults who took part.

Troop 121 earned enough gold nuggets to win a new two burner stove and two compasses. 5 scouts and 2 adults took part

11 scouts and 2 adults stayed at a cabin at Hidden valley and enjoyed sledding, board games, hanging out and working on the totin chip.

Annual troop get-together at Scoutmaster's house. Navy wins for the sixth straight year... (38-3)
November 17, 2007 - Flat Rock Hike.
8 Scouts from Troop 121 and 9 Webelos from area packs made the steep, 5 mile round-trip climb up to Flat Rock.
November 3&10, 2007 - Scouting for Food
Working with Troop 120 and Packs 117 and 251, we collected over 3,000 food items for the King's Kettle Food Pantry

Troop 121's team of Andrew and Sam came in first place in this event.
October 12-14, 2007 - Maryland Scout Orienteering Weekend, Broad Creek Scout Reservation, Whiteford, MD
Troop 121's scouts Darren O. and Brad O. came home with a second place ribbon in Route Orienteering. Ryan R. and Daniel L. finished in 32nd place with over 500 scouts competing!
October 6-7, 2007 - Survive Somerset 2007
8 scouts braved the great outdoors and built their own shelters.
Sep 28-30, 2007 - Wizard Safari, Wizard Ranch, York, PA
5 Scouts and 4 Webelos from Packs 117 and 121 joined to attend the Wizard Safari in York, PA.
This was a huge camporee that is only held once every four years.
Scouts participated in BB Shooting, Archery, Tomahawk throwing, Branding,
panning for "gold", and lots of other events, topped off with a wild west show
and fireworks in the evening.
